Good things come to those who wait. Following their winning results at the PAC Global 2026 Awards, our clients at Corby Spirit and Wine Limited know how true this is.

That’s because our design for their J.P. Wiser’s Mizunara Oak 27-Year-Old Whisky won Best in Class honors in the Specialty – Limited Edition category at this year’s event.

Marking one of the most prestigious releases in the brand’s history, this premium, limited-release whisky is cask strength, aged for 27 years, and finished in full Mizunara oak casks – a rare and distinct wood, also known as Japanese oak, celebrated throughout the world for its elegance and complexity.

Our challenge was to celebrate the exclusivity of the whisky and its craft aging, without sacrificing the presence of the brand’s proud Canadian heritage. With a carefully considered approach, our creative team delivered a cohesive and beautifully elevated design solution. Featuring the highest-quality textured paper, embossed oak detailing, distinctive typography, illustrative details, gold finishes and moody romance copy – each element works in unison to exemplify brand storytelling at its finest.

From winning awards to scoring goals, J.P. Wiser’s was also recognized with an Award of Distinction in the Limited Edition – Sports category for its NHL 10-year-old and Deluxe varieties. Each label is a proud expression of the official partnership between J.P. Wiser’s and the NHL. Symbolized by the iconic Stanley Cup, the sought-after labels appeal to NHL and whisky fans alike and are a tribute to the brand’s deep connections to hockey.

And the wins just keep on coming!

When Maple Leaf engaged Davis to work on their new brand of South Asian-inspired foods, our winning solution was to think pink. Picking up a Best in Class award in the New Brand – Food category, the design for Musafir is as bold as it is beautiful.

Created for the fast-evolving new Canadian landscape and the culinary-curious alike, Musafir combines authentic South Asian-inspired flavours, spices, and ingredients in convenient and familiar formats, such as burger patties, breaded nuggets, snackable ‘popcorn’ nuggets, and egg and paneer bites – appealing to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian consumers.

To boldly break through the cacophony of colour typically seen in the International Frozen food aisle, we
combined a single, arresting brand colour with details drawn from South Asian textiles, architecture, and arts. The result is a disruptive brand block that builds awareness, promotes discovery, eases navigation and introduces consumers to Musafir’s new world of flavours.

Also bringing home an Award of Distinction is Nature’s Touch, which won in the Revitalized Brand – Food category.

Working with the Nature’s Touch team, we updated the brand identity to address its unique needs as a B2B and B2C brand. From there, our challenge was to deliver packaging that reflected the incredible quality of the product inside, elevate the Nature’s Touch brand and build a design system that would drive awareness of the brand’s entire and expansive portfolio.

The new Nature’s Touch logo is familiar yet optimized – for impact at shelf, and digital. With greater meaning, it is overtly rooted in growth and nature. Primary packaging leads with the Nature’s Touch brand and luscious, delicious fruit shown at its peak. Segment and variant communication is bold and easy to see, even through frosted freezer doors, and the claims system reassures of the product quality inside.

Moving from frozen to the spice aisle, McCormick and Company earned an Award of Distinction for their new Gourmet Collection of premium herbs and spices. Capitalizing on a new, more contemporary bottle structure, the design utilizes simple, clear labels that offer an unobstructed view of the product inside. Our less-is-more approach is sophisticated in its simplicity. Gold accents complement modern, neutral kitchens and encourage home cooks to keep this curated collection close at hand and proudly on display.

PAC Competition submissions are evaluated by a panel of International Brand Marketing judges, including Davis Design Director, Lisa Olay. Award winners were announced on February 18th and 19th in Toronto at the annual PAC Global Futures Edge Summit. Uniting the world’s top designers, innovators, and changemakers in packaging, the two-day event is regarded by industry leaders as a rich opportunity to learn how global retailers and bold, emerging brands are transforming packaging through creativity, innovation, and sustainability.
